If you enjoy the unique, antique shopping, thrift stores, etc, then this is the place for you. Renew has new and like-new items, and everything is lovely.

Last time I went in, I ended up with a top, 3 bird figurines, and an antique brass turtle.



The most fun part is, every time you go, there's new stuff.



Note to self: buy snail in photo above if still available :)



Pretty things for yourself, your home, your friends, etc... and Brittany is super nice and helpful, you will love her.

Pick up a coffee at Shakespeare and Co. right next door, and then spend some quality time looking at pretty things... sounds like heaven, no?

This shop is absolutely full of things you're going to want. The last time I went in, I bought a cherry vanilla scented hand cream in a pink owl bottle... because... well, I love owls and pick stuff and hand cream, and I decided I NEEDED IT.

Walking into the shop, you can start right off with free tea, which is plain awesome, then you get to feast your eyes on so many pretty things you won't know where to start.



They have lots of owl stuff, which totally thrills me.



Pretty things for myself or for gifts... yes.



Let's see... clothing, scarves, cosmetics, bath stuff, burp cloths, accessories of every kind, Toms... there's sooo much. And I love it.







Really, you will go in here and get lost for a while. It's just fun.



Vicki, who manages the Kernersville location, is super friendly and nice and can tell you about everything they have... you will love her.

So, I love books and coffee... two of my favorite things, not necessarily in that order. Ergo, this is one of my favorite places. Shakespeare and Co. is located in the Factory in downtown Kernersville...

Besides coffee and books, they've got an amazing collection of homey stuff and gifts... things for your table, things to wear, things to eat.



Cards and books... even a book club, which is super fun.



Did I mention they also have delicious food? No? They do.



They host live bands every Friday evening, and that's the perfect time to enjoy the wine bar.



Shop for your foodie friends here... seriously. They have so much cool stuff.



When I say coffee, I mean Coffee... over 20 specialty types, in fact... and a small cup of joe sets you back a whole buck.



This is a place to get a cup of coffee, a treat, and a book, and then stay and hang out on the comfy couch to enjoy all 3.



It's something for everyone, really.

I love the town I live in.

It's big enough to have a Target and 3 Starbucks, but small enough that most of the people who work in those places know me by sight, if not by name. City perks, small town vibe... what's not to love?

I live in Kernersville, NC, and have for the past 12ish years. It's also where I do the majority of my photography sessions... I know all the best spots, and there are lots of them.

I get a lot of clients asking me about places to shop, eat or hang out after sessions, and the list of possibilities is amazing here... there's so much to see and do, and non-locals might pass by the best places.

So, I decided to start a "Spotlight on K'ville" feature for the blog... I plan for it to be a weekly deal, but don't judge me if I miss a week here and there. ;)

This shop is pure eye candy from wall to wall... every kind of stationery, wrap, ribbon, paper you can imagine... and if you like stuff personalized, Devora's got you covered.



You can find a gift for pretty much anyone... they simply have a ton to choose from and it's all so cute I want to buy one of each thing.



This apron makes me want to put it on and cook something. Which is saying a lot.
